Video Tour of Empress
Having previously provided a video tour of Pullmantur ship, Horizon, this week we are able to provide an exclusive look on board Empress. In September, whilst docked in Dover en-route to the Norwegian fjords, we were lucky enough to have a look at everything this fantastic ship has to offer.
Empress has a passenger capacity of 1,800, making it one of Pullmantur’s smaller ships when compared with Monarch and Sovereign, both of which have capacity for over 2,700 passengers. The vessel enjoyed a successful and popular 14 years with parent company Royal Caribbean, before being transferred to Pullmantur Cruises in 2008.
Whilst Empress may not be as big as some of her sister ships, she still delivers on facilities and amenities. Guests can soak up the sun on the top deck either on a sun lounger or in one of the inviting pools, whilst the more adventurous passengers will try their hand at the onboard climbing wall. There are also plenty of bars and lounges inside where you can rest your feet and take full advantage of the all-inclusive drinks offer.
Parents can enjoy the facilities of the gym and the Spa del Mar, whilst children have the time of their lives in the dedicated kid’s clubs, which cater for ages 3-6, 7-11 and 12-17 respectively. Children can also take advantage of the videogame arcade, whilst parents try their luck at games such as roulette, poker and slots in the onboard casino.
In the evening, the whole family can come together to enjoy a delicious meal in the Miramar Restaurant or Panorama Buffet Restaurant. For an additional fee, guests can also sample the finest Asian fusion dishes in the Wu Fusion Restaurant.
Empress will complete sailings throughout the autumn season around the Mediterranean, stopping at destinations such as Malaga, Gibraltar and Civitavecchia (Rome). In November, she will be stationed in South America and complete cruises around Brazil, home to the world renowned Copacabana beach.
Whichever ship you sail with, Pullmantur's all-inclusive cruises are available across the fleet and in any destination. Each of our five ships, Empress, Horizon, Monarch, Sovereign and Zenith, are established vessels within the cruise industry.Tweet
