Why Majesty of the Seas is Perfect for Pullmantur

UPDATE 31/03/16: New reports suggest Majesty of the Seas will transfer to Pullmantur Cruises in 2018. See: Could Majesty of the Seas be heading to Pullmantur Cruises after all?

UPDATE: On July 6th 2015, it was announced that Majesty of the Seas would no longer be joining Pullmantur Cruises. The ship, which was previously scheduled to transfer from parent company, Royal Caribbean, in 2016, will instead remain with the operator and sail out of Miami following an extensive makeover.

At present, the Pullmantur fleet consists of five ships: Sovereign, Monarch and Empress under the Pullmantur brand; and Horizon and Zenith under Croisieres De France. Sovereign, Monarch and Empress once sailed as part of the Royal Caribbean fleet; whilst Zenith sailed under Celebrity Cruises; and Horizon sailed under both Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean in respective order.

All of Pullmantur’s ships have been inherited from the Royal Caribbean Cruises family (which also consists of Celebrity Cruises, Azamara and TUI Cruises). In 2016, Pullmantur will acquire a sixth ship from Royal Caribbean: Majesty of the Seas. This is a very special acquisition as this particular ship holds many fond memories among cruisers.

Majesty of the Seas

Majesty of the Seas is the last remaining ship of Royal Caribbean’s Sovereign Class; with sister ships Sovereign and Monarch having previously transferred to Pullmantur. With a capacity for 2,744 passengers, the arrival of Majesty of the Seas will increase Pullmantur Cruises’ total capacity by 20%.

The ship entered service in 1992 and was christened by Queen Sonja of Norway and has sailed the seas with strong reliability ever since. She underwent a refit in early 2007 to update the on board facilities and amenities for passengers and crew. The three-four day sailings operated by Majesty have proven particularly popular for new to cruise customers, who are thinking of getting away on for just a few days on a budget.

New to Cruise

Pullmantur is the perfect operator for Majesty of the Seas and will attract the same new to cruise customers interested in budget cruises for just a few days or so. With Pullmantur’s trademark all-inclusiveness, you will not be disappointed when it comes to value as everything from food and drink to gratuities and taxes is included in the price you pay. There is, however, the option to upgrade to premium services and products should you choose.

Majesty of the Seas is very easy to navigate, making it ideal for first time cruisers and those wanting to steer clear of the larger-style cruise ships. Many cruisers have been drawn to the modern services and great value that Majesty of the Seas has been able to offer, returning time and time again. Over the course of 23 years, Majesty of the Seas has been instrumental in attracting travellers who may have never thought of embarking on a cruise before. With Pullmantur, there is every reason this trend will continue.

Why not hop on board a Pullmantur cruise in 2015 and experience a great value holiday with fantastic all-inclusiveness.
